The TomTom GPS unit is hard to beat, it costs slightly more but it is worth it and as mentioned above you can only buy the software with the GPS unit anyway. False alarm, Im confused, how come for the past few days the module has had problems getting a fix, then now it gets a fix no problem. If so take it outside away from buildings and wait for anything upto 30 mins.
